Borve Lodge Estate has teamed up with Harris' top chef and owner of Flavour, Chris Loye to offer an amazing experience for the budding gastronome. You will collect and cook all the ingredients during the day, nothing will have traveled further than 10 miles from field to fork.
This unique day will start with a short boat trip to the island of Taransay where you will be shown around the highlights of the island and see the native red deer herd. On the way back to mainland Harris you will stop and lift a few creels and collect lobsters or crabs.
Once back to Borve Lodge you will be be met by chef Chris Loye who will show you the deer larder and how to select the best cuts of venison. You will also visit the Lodge's vegetable garden and pick the best of the crop.
Then it's time to get in the kitchen and cook up a feast! Chris will show you how to prepare everything that you have gathered during the day, from cleaning shellfish to presentation.
